We had the honor of providing wedding DJ services for this amazing Hillside Gardens wedding this summer! When Ashli and Jason contacted us and told us their vision of their special day, we knew it was going to be a fun and amazing night!
They chose Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs which is a beautiful venue with great views and a great coordinator, make sure to check them out!
Speaking with Ashli and Jason, we got a vision for what they wanted and how the wanted the night to go. From there, Ashli and Jason had explained to us that they wanted to incorporate some traditional Latino traditions, which are always fun!
Before the ceremony began and guests trickled in, we had background music playing and waited for the cue to start the ceremony. We get the cue and play each selected song for everyone walking down the aisle. Ashli had reached out to us beforehand about a special song she wanted to walk down the aisle to as a surprise for Jason. We’re not sure the exact story behind this specific song, but we knew it meant something to Jason by the look on his face.
Once ceremony was done, we went on with the cocktail hour, dinner hour and a few special activities before the dancing started. The activities included the wedding march, dollar dance, bouquet and garter toss and the table dash. The table dash, if you’re unfamiliar with it, is where the couple “dashes” to each table with the photographer to take a quick photo. A great way to visit each table quickly to snap a nice photo with the guests.
The dance floor opened after the special activities and the dance floor was busy the entire rest of the night! Without a doubt, you could tell that family and friends came out to celebrate this amazing couple. It was such a fun and exciting night, and we could’t be happier and honored that Ashli and Jason let us be part of their special day.
